Why should my child have treatment at Spire Leeds Hospital?
Spire Leeds Hospital in Roundhay, West Yorkshire provides private paediatric care for children between the ages of 3 and 16 years.

If your child needs hospital treatment, our dedicated team of children’s nurses, paediatricians and surgeons will ensure they receive the very best care.

Your child can access private healthcare if s/he is covered by a medical insurance policy, or you can opt to self-pay for their treatment.

What happens at the initial consultation?
Children of any age can have an initial consultation with a paediatric specialist at Spire Leeds Hospital. The consultant your child will see also works as a specialist within the NHS.

You and your child will discuss your child’s symptoms with the doctor during the initial appointment. Investigations and treatment plans will also be discussed.

X-ray, ultrasound, MRI , CT scanning and blood testing are available on-site if required.

Will my child need a GP referral?
Yes, your child will usually need a GP referral.

What if my child needs surgery?
Children over the age of three can be admitted to the hospital for surgery and will be looked after before and after surgery by our specialist team of children’s nurses. Where possible we aim to take patients as day cases. Children staying overnight can be accompanied by a parent/carer.
