As a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology Mrs Vinay Sharma has been actively involved in reproductive medicine since 1984, developing and establishing newer techniques in assisted conception. During the course of her career Mrs Sharma has obtained a PhD in assisted conception from the University of London. She established and has developed all subfertility services in Leeds and her unit at St James's University Hospital has performed consistently with a high success rate as evidenced by the Human Fertilisation Embryology Authority (HFEA) - Patient Guide to In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and donor insemination (DI). Mrs Sharma is also a competent and safe surgeon practising benign gynaecology and reproductive medicine related surgery.
