Professional profile:
Dr Lee Graham was appointed as a consultant cardiologist at the Yorkshire Heart Centre, Leeds General Infirmary in January 2008. He specialises in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders) and in complex pacing. Dr Graham qualified from Manchester University in 1996 and subsequently undertook specialist cardiology training in Leeds. He obtained a PhD from the University of Leeds in 2004 after a period of research. More recently, Dr Graham has specialised in the field of interventional electrophysiology and spent a fellowship year in Christchurch, New Zealand where he received extensive training in the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias before returning to the UK to complete his training.

Dr Graham's specific areas of interest are: palpitations and heart rhythm disorders, radiofrequency ablation procedures, atrial fibrillation ablation, pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (biventricular pacing) for heart failure.
Personal profile:
Dr Lee Graham and his family are very fond of Yorkshire. Dr Graham was delighted to be appointed as a consultant in Leeds after living in York for eleven years. His interests outside medicine include most sports including football and walking. Dr Graham and his wife Jane are both long suffering supporters of Newcastle United FC. Dr Graham also plays five-a-side football for the hospital team. His other passions include cooking and foreign travel although the latter has been put on hold since the arrival of his son Will!
