Professional profile:

I have been a Consultant Surgeon at Hull Royal Infirmary since 1996 working in the Division of Upper Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive ("Keyhole") Surgery.

These remain my main areas of clinical interest along with endocrine surgery (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands).

More recently these interests have evolved into the laparoscopic treatment of morbid obesity.

I am active surgical educator
