I am a Consultant Cardiologist employed by Scarborough and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust having been appointed in 1996. I am a trained Cardiologist and have dual accreditation in General Internal medicine. I initially trained at University College Hospital London, Leeds General Infirmary, Ninewells University Hospital Dundee and the last part of my training was in Hull. I have done lots of research as a part of the Academic Cardiology Department, Castle Hill Hospital with Professor J Cleland. My main interests are in heart failure and acute coronary syndome.
I am married to Salma who is also a doctor.I play squash, tennis and enjoy going to the theatre and love classical music.
