Dr Prem Premchand is a consultant gastroenterologist at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering private gastroenterology care in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
Dr Premchand qualified from Kerala University, India and started training in the UK in 1994, completing his gastroenterology specialist training at St Thomas Hospital London in 2005.
He has performed over 10,000 colonoscopies and 15,000 gastroscopies and has one of the largest series of colonic stent placement in the UK.
Dr Premchand set up the UK’s first white cell apheresis service for refractory inflammatory bowel disease attracting referrals nationally and internationally.
Dr Premchand is tri-lingual and, in addition to English, he speaks Hindi and Malayalam.
