Dr Ferdinand Carabott is a consultant dermatologist at Spire Hartswood Hospital specialising in the treatment of pigmented lesions, phototherapy and skin cancer in adults and children.
Dr Carabott is Senior Consultant Dermatologist at Queen’s Hospital in Romford. He started his medical training in Malta but political trouble forced him to finish his training at Guy’s Hospital in London. Subsequent posts in London were in general medicine, leading MRCP and, in 2000, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Carabott trained in dermatology at St John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin in London, gaining wide experience in photobiology and phototherapy. He has been a Consultant at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust since 1995.
Dr Carabott runs a parallel life as a photographer specialising in architectural photography and fine art. He has conducted seminars on photographic and computer imaging techniques, holding a patent for a colour software program. His pet subject is the interaction of sound and still images. He plays the treble recorder and tennis all year round.
