Dr Ramsay provides a comprehensive respiratory outpatient practice at Spire Harpenden Hospital. He has access to excellent diagnostic facilities including a full repertoire of imaging and detail physiological studies including full lung function and sleep studies. He is thorough, has high clinical standards and responds to all requests on an urgent basis.
He trained in Leeds at the internationally renowned St James's teaching hospital. He successfully completed higher training in both respiratory and general internal medicine and completed sub-speciality training in lung cancer, airways disease, intestinal lung disease, pulmonary infection including tuberculosis and brochiectasis, sleep medicine, ventilation, cough and pulmonary vascular disease.
His NHS practice is based at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where he looks after in-patients and carries out fibreoptic bronchoscopy. He is the lead for lung cancer and mesothelioma. He works closely with primary care, bridging the boundaty between primary and secondary care. His reputation is such that his expertise is regularly drawn upon for the purpose of training. He has access to interventional thorasic radiology services, thorasic surgery and oncology.
