My work includes aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, and surgery of the hand and wrist.
I aim to give advice and treatment that is individual, modern, and holistic. At the first consultation I aim to identify concerns and to provide explanation of the objectives, and implications of surgery. Patients can return for a second visit.
Breast Aesthetics:
I aim to give a result that is proportionate and in balance. For both primary breast augmentation, and for revision surgery, I almost exclusively use anatomical (shaped) implants. These implants give more volume and projection in the lower half of the breast. The shape also helps make the upper part of the implant less potentially visible. Most patients stay one night in hospital after breast augementation, women undergoing breast reduction tend to stay two nights. For smaller reductions and for breast lifts I use a vertical scar technique.
Abdominal Aesthetics:
I perform liposuction, scar revision, and abdominoplasty. The technique is dependent upon the body shape, the desired effect.
Facial aesthetics:
I look at the facial proportions and advise on areas that can be changed for the better without producing something that looks slightly out of phase with other features. I perform prominent ear correction, eye-lid surgery, rhinoplasty, and face-lift surgery (I predominantly use short-scar techniques: either the MACS lift, lateral SMASectomy or SMAS plication, dependent upon the amount of fullness and lift needed in the mid-face and neck).
Hand and Wrist:
I treat most hand problems: carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytrens, arthritis, nerve injury, and trauma of soft tissues, bones and ligaments in the hand and wrist. I perform wrist arthroscopy and childrens hand surgery.
Skin:
I perform surgery for skin cancer and scars.
