Professional profile

Miss Waters graduated in Russia in 1996 with a first class honours degree and received most of her specialist training in Australia.

Miss Waters was awarded a Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2007. She completed a Fellowship at the European Institute of Telesurgery in Strasbourg, France and was awarded a Diploma of Université of Louis Pasteur in Minimal Access Surgery in 2007. Miss Waters also trained as a console surgeon on the da Vinci Robot.

Special interests: Ambulatory (outpatient) gynaecology, including all hysteroscopic operations and office sterilisation and ablation techniques. She is a Lead Clinician in Ambulatory Gynaecology. Miss Waters is a preceptor for The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in hysteroscopy and laparoscopy and is currently training a Fellow in Ambulatory Gynaecology and keyhole surgery. Special interests in keyhole surgery: Adhesion prevention, high BMI and laparoscopic surgery outcomes and safety in laparoscopy, severe endometriosis and pelvic floor repair.

Miss Waters is a trainer for most of the gynaecological operations using minimal access techniques and has recently been elected as a Council Member for the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopists. Miss Waters is a preceptor at the School of Innovation at the European Institute of Telesurgery in Strasbourg and the INSTITUT DE CHIRURGIE MINI-INVASIVE GUIDÉE PAR L'IMAGE, France and a coach at the annual innovation course for business, engineering and medical students. Miss Waters frequently gives lectures to theatre personnel as she strongly believes that a good team is an essential part in keyhole surgery.

Miss Waters also works closely with Mr James English, as part of the tertiary referral Specialist Centre for the treatment of Endometriosis.
