I am a consultant rheumatologist specialising in inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, crystal arthritis and soft tissue conditions. I have a particular interest in early inflammatory arthritis. I received my higher specialist training in rheumatology and general internal medicine on the South Thames (Guy’s and St. Thomas’ and St George’s) rotation. I have been trained under eminent professors in a specialist Lupus unit (St Thomas’ Hospital), RA Centre (Guy’s Hospital), and the Hotung Musculoskeletal Centre (St George’s Hospital).
I was awarded the prestigious British Society of Rheumatology National Travelling Fellowship in 2013, and then again in 2014. I undertook my fellowship together with renowned rheumatologists at University College London, Great Ormond Street and the Royal Free Hospital. I combine a busy clinical practice in all four hospitals in Worthing, Chichester, Shoreham and Bognor with a strong interest in medical education. I have taught students from GSTT and King’s College Medical School, and Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Along with clinical practice, my research interests focus on inflammatory arthritis.
