I graduated from the London Hospital Medical College in 1980 and then trained in Rheumatology in London at the Middlesex, Royal London and King’s College Hospitals. I have extensive experience in all aspects of adult general rheumatology and a specialist interest in osteoporosis.
I was appointed as Consultant Rheumatologist at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in 1992 and retired from the NHS at the end of 2020. I continue to see patients on a private basis.
I was the lead clinician in Rheumatology from 2003 until 2006 and from 2014 until 2018. I have been lead investigator and co-investigator in clinical trials on rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
