Miss Joanna Brittles
BSc (Hons) Audiology
I am an NHS and privately registered audiologist currently managing the Chester branch of James Hearing UK as well as providing satellite clinics in Heswall, Cheshire and Liverpool. I have a first class honours degree with a clinical distinction in audiology from the University of Manchester. In 2008 I was awarded the Lisa Bayliss prize a national award received for excelling in clinical practice.
I have a background in both NHS and private practice meaning I have a wealth of experience in developing bespoke management plans for patients with hearing loss and tinnitus depending on their individual needs. I am able to fit hearing systems of all types and styles depending on the patient's lifestyle and hearing loss.
I have a special interest in counselling, complex hearing losses, musicians with hearing loss and hearing protection.
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Yale Hospital.
I live on the Wirral and am a keen music fan. I like attending live music events and playing guitar. This has led to a specialist interest in dealing with musicians with hearing loss and tinnitus and technology equipped for helping with this.
