Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Khalil Razvi at Spire include:
Gynaecology and/or Obstetrics; colposcopy, gynaecological cancer, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic surgery. Oncology; gynaecological cancer.
I did my undergraduate training in Dublin and worked in Singapore for many years. I have held specialist qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK, Australia and Singapore since 1995. I trained as a sub-specialist in gynaecological cancers in St Bartholomew's Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 1999 and am a RCOG (UK) certified gynaecological oncologist (surgical treatment of cancers and suspected cancers of the female genital tract).
I am currently the lead clinician for gynaecological cancers in South Essex (part of the Essex Cancer Network) and undertake most of the complex gynaecological surgery for this. My other special interest is in Colposcopy and associated lower genital tract disorders and screening for ovarian cancer. I also have a wide background experience in general gynaecology and perform laparoscopy for various gynaecological conditions, hysteroscopy and general gynaecology.
I am still involved in active research and have more than 50 publications, conference presentations and chapters in text books. I have secured two international patents in the area of ovarian cancer diagnosis and rapid testing for chromosomal disorders in pregnancy. I have research collaborations both nationally with UCL (London), Ovarian cancer charities in the UK, the National University of Singapore and in Australia.
I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP's letter of referral.
