I am dually credited by the JRCPTB in General and Respiratory Medicine and my special interest in respiratory medicine is sleep-related breathing disorders and non-invasive ventilation, treating patients with respiratory failure. In 2018 the Northwest of England where I was working was the best in the country and under my leadership, Wigan was the best in the Northwest. This status was confirmed in an official government statement in 2018.
My experience in the setting up of my special interest from scratch at Lancashire teaching Hospital and WWL NHS Trust was be the best in the country.
I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
