I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with more than 17 years experience. I moved to Newcastle for University and completed my surgical training in the Northeast of England. My entire focus is on surgery of the breast and I regularly lecture related topics both nationally and internationally. I have particular interests in cosmetic breast surgery and breast cancer surgery.
As an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, my areas of expertise lie in breast cancer surgery and cosmetic breast surgery. I have recently been selected as a Member of the Aesthetic Committee at the Association of Breast Surgery, where the focus is on on ensuring the safety of patients undergoing cosmetic breast surgery in the UK. I offer a full range of cosmetic breast surgical procedures. I have an interest in localisation techniques for breast cancers and am regularly asked to teach on this subject at medical conferences worldwide. I have extensive expertise in breast conservation surgery for breast cancer, allowing many patients to avoid mastectomy, by using the latest techniques, and have presented internationally on this subject. When a patient requires mastectomy, I am able to offer immediate breast reconstruction using either breast implants or the patients own tissue. I also have a clinical interest in second opinions and repair of poor cosmetic outcomes following breast cancer surgery.
I have a busy NHS and private practice, treating hundreds of patients each year for breast-related problems.

In addition to my clinical work, I have a keen interest in research.
