Virtual consultations:
I have been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the world-famous Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, East Grinstead since 2006 and provide a plastic surgery service to East Kent. As the oncoplastics breast lead from 2009 to 2012, I was a key member of the Kent Breast Cancer Network, helping to formulate the breast reconstruction pathway, policy for pre-op screening in breast reduction surgery and the use of lipofilling in breasts.
My rigorous training in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery was in the Pan-Thames Training Programme. Additional training in microsurgery allowed me to develop specialist skills in breast reconstruction allowing me to offer the whole repertoire of breast reconstructive techniques including the use of implants, LD flap and the patient's own tissue from the abdomen (DIEP), inner thigh (TUG) and buttock (SGAP) flaps. I also spent time at the Christine Kleinert Institute of Hand and Microsurgery, Louisville, USA in 2004.
I am a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery, and am on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council. I am also a full member of BAPRAS, BAAPS and ABS.
I was on BAPRAS council from 2013 to 2015, during which time I served on the Finance Committee, ABS Council and was the lead for National Commissioning. I established the UK National Flap Registry (UKNFR) in 2015 with cross-speciality participation from BAPRAS, BAOMS, BAHNO, ABS and BSSH. I am the UKNFR National Audit Lead. I am a member of the Court of Examiners for the FRCS(Plast) examinations held by the UK Intercollegiate Specialty Board in Plastic Surgery and an examiner for the European Plastic Surgery Examinations (EBOPRAS). I am a certified Educational Supervisor with the KSS (Kent, Surrey and Sussex) Deanery. I love to teach and regularly lecture plastic surgery trainees, nurses and breast care nurses.

Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust
Colleagues and patients find that I have a straight-forward manner and that I'm honest in my assessment of what is achievable with surgery. As a female consultant plastic surgeon, I encourage women to choose the ‘natural’ look, instilling confidence in their appearance, and to be comfortable in their own skin. I am privileged to have earned the trust of several nurses, doctors and professional women as my patients, and they have been delighted with the outcome of their surgery.
I take pride in my caring attitude towards patients and my communication skills with patients. I am keen to ensure that patients are fully informed and involved in all aspects of their care. I live in Kent with my husband and young son. I enjoy tennis, pilates and running.
