BSc(Hons) MBBS(Hons) FRCP MD DRCOG MAcadMEd

Specialises in

I graduated as a doctor from Guy’s and St.Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 1995 with distinction. I subsequently undertook my postgraduate training in London working at a number of specialist centres including the Royal Brompton, St.George’s and Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. During my training, I completed research in thyroid disorders at the prestigious Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research and was awarded an MD in 2007. My work led to several publications, book chapters and I was an invited speaker at national and international meetings.

I was appointed a Consultant at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2008 and was Clinical Lead of my department for eight years. I led the development of the West Kent Integrated Community Diabetes model which was as a double finalist at the National HSJ Value awards in 2021. Since 2023, I have moved into the independent sector and have been able to focus on providing high quality care to my patients. I take great pride in ensuring my patients are able to share their concerns, so that a clear management plan can be provided.

I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College, PACES Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and was recently awarded as a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd, 2024).

Apart from managing diabetes and endocrine problems, I have a particular interest in thyroid conditions, menopause, testosterone replacement therapy and weight loss treatments.
