I studied Medicine at Cambridge University and then at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1999. After four years in general medicine at the Royal London and Whipps Cross hospitals, I became a lecturer in medical education at St George’s hospital, completing a postgraduate certificate in education whilst continuing my clinical practice. I trained in Cardiology at the Heart Hospital, University College London and undertook higher specialist training in Electrophysiology and inherited cardiac conditions. I became a consultant Cardiologist in 2012 and set up an electrophysiology service at Maidstone Hospital. I also practise at St Thomas’s Hospital in London where I perform ablation of more complex arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and specialise in the investigation and management of inherited cardiac conditions including Brugada syndrome and long QT syndrome. Services I offer include the investigation and treatment of angina (chest pain), heart failure, high blood pressure, and heart valve disease.
I specialise in the investigation and treatment of all heart rhythm abnormalities (including electrophysiology studies and ablation of supraventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation) and implant pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD’s) and biventricular devices (CRT).
