Treatment restrictions due to coronavirus (COVID-19)

As part of our longstanding relationship, we are proud to be dedicating our resources to the NHS at this important time. As a result many of our treatments are currently suspended and we are reviewing all planned procedures and consultations. We are making every effort to talk to impacted patients and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Professional profile

I am a teaching hospital consultant specialising in the use of robotics for prostate treatment, and in particular performing da Vinci prostatectomy. I am one of the leading innovators in this technology, and one of the few formally trained robotic surgeons in the UK.

Over the years, I have been instrumental in the development of our understanding of the nature of prostate disease. This includes treatment techniques that can be pivotal in preserving normal sexual activity following prostate surgery. Laser surgery treatments for enlarged prostates can mean that normal bladder and sexual functions can be resumed almost immediately after treatment.

I also have an interest in kidney surgery using robotic techniques and have had excellent results.
