Miss Lorraine Chiang
"As Head of the Physiotherapy Department, it is my responsibility to provide leadership and governance to ensure excellence in the provision of Physiotherapy services to all patients of Spire Thames Valley and Spire Windsor Clinic."
It is my job to ensure that all physiotherapy services are provided in a safe, appropriate, efficient, effective and responsive environment and promote continuous improvement by all physiotherapy staff as well as consumer participation and family centered care.
Having trained in ballet for 17 years, I specialise in movement pattern analysis, functional movement assessment and functional exercise prescription. I believe that normalisation of movement patterns is fundamental to improve ones ability to perform: improved physical fitness leads to improved sports performance.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Miss Lorraine Chiang at Spire include:
She is trained in myofascial release, manipulation, specific soft tissue and connective tissue mobilisation, muscle energy technique and functional exercise. She is certified Level 3 Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional and Junior Golf Coach (one of only two physios in the UK to have achieved both these certifications).
Spire Thames Valley Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
