Your consultations
Once you’ve made an enquiry, we can arrange for you to meet with one of our cosmetic surgeons in a private consultation room – usually within a few days. There’ll be a chance to discuss your reasons for having treatment, as well as your medical history. Your consultant will explain what will happen during the procedure, including the type of anaesthetic you'll have. They may also need you to have a pre-operative assessment.

Your consultant will explain that there’s no pressure to make any decisions during the appointment. Even if you’re confident you want to go ahead, there’s plenty of time to change your mind during the two week cooling-off period.
When you arrive at Spire Sussex, you’ll meet your surgical team and anaesthetist before your operation. You’ll have a general anaesthetic for the procedure, which means you’ll be asleep throughout.
The operation usually takes between one and three hours. It involves the surgeon making cuts (incisions) in order to lift and reshape your breasts. They’ll use the techniques you agreed during your consultation.
You may be able to go home on the same day as your surgery but, if you need to stay overnight, you’ll have your own comfortable, en-suite room that provides all the home comforts you need, including:
After surgery, you’ll probably feel some pain or discomfort – our nursing team will give you painkillers to help you with this.
