Spire Sussex Hospital raises £359 for the British Heart Foundation

Spire Sussex Hospital has been celebrating Valentine’s Day in aid of the British Heart Foundation with home-made cakes and raffle prizes, raising £359.

Spire Sussex Hospital, the main sponsor of the 30th Hastings Half Marathon, is proud to be raising funds for the British Heart Foundation prior and during the event.

The hospital’s staff team of seventeen is preparing to run the marathon on Sunday, 23rd March and aims to raise £1000 for the charity.  

Magdalena Zachara, Business Development Executive at Spire Sussex Hospital, said:

“Every year we hear stories about people who suddenly die prematurely from heart disease during a sport event and those who survive, finding the illness frightening.”

She added:

“We are proud to be supporting the British Heart Foundation which helps to save thousands of lives through their pioneering research and innovative prevention.”
