05 August 2015

Spire Sussex Hospital is proud to announce that it will once again be the main sponsor for The Hastings Half Marathon, taking place on 22nd March 2015.

Spire Sussex Hospital has had a close relationship with The Hastings Lion Club and supported drink stations for the runners in the previous years along with being the main sponsor in 2014.

The title sponsorship of the Hastings Half Marathon is part of Spire Sussex Hospital’s ongoing commitment and dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles.

As the main sponsor, Spire Sussex Hospital will primarily fund the production of 5,000 race numbers, the winners’ prizes as well as travelling and accommodation for elite athletes.

Linda Dineen, Hospital Director at Spire Sussex Hospital, said: "We are once again very proud to be the main sponsor of the Hastings Half Marathon. Caring is our passion and it is a privilege to support such an inspirational event which continues to break records for charity fundraising."

Eric Hardwick, Race Director of the Hastings Half Marathon, said: "The Lions Club of Hastings, organisers of The Hastings Half Marathon, are delighted that Spire Sussex Hospital will again be the Main Sponsor of the 2015 Half Marathon on Sunday 22nd March. It is terrific to continue the bond after sponsoring the hugely successfull 30th Half Marathon this year, and be linked with a caring health in the community company, who can bring so much to restore and improve our quality of life."

Spire Sussex Hospital raises funds for various charities throughout the year, and staff will be running The Hastings Half Marathon for the British Heart Foundation. We will open a JustGiving donation page nearer the time.
