I specialise in the assessment and treatment of urinary symptoms in men and women and have a strong interest in managing urinary continence issues in men and women.
I have been a consultant since 2018 and jointly run the Urodynamic, Female Urology and Neuro-Urology service at St George’s Hospital, support the continence service at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals and am part of a specialist team providing a cancer survivorship service at the Royal Marsden Hospital for men with post-prostatectomy incontinence.
I also provide liaison urology support for the bladder management of patients at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability in Putney.
Our regional service focuses on women and men with bothersome urinary symptoms or incontinence, post-prostatectomy incontinence in men, urinary tract infections (UTI), interstitial cystitis, bladder pain, urodynamic and videourodynamic assessment of the bladder, neuro-urology, female urology, benign prostate enlargement (BPE/BPH), overactive bladder (OAB) bladder Botox treatment, stress urinary incontinence, general urology (circumcision, vasectomy, hydrocoele repair), chronic prostatitis and bladder pain.
I offer prompt diagnostics to evaluate bladder function, and streamline patients into individualised treatment programmes for symptom control and quality of life improvement. In this way I have performed over 4,000 cystoscopic procedures, over 300 benign prostate procedures, over 1000 bladder Botox procedures, over 1000 urodynamic/videourodynamic studies, and over 100 artificial urinary sphincter/male sling insertions.
I lead the Female Urology Service at St George's University Hospital.
I have an active academic background, I am a Senior Lecturer at St George’s University London Medical School and have received a number of awards, including a prestigious research grant from The Urology Foundation.
I have authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and regularly present scientific papers on a national and international scale.
