I qualified in 1986 after winning an award to read medicine at Queens’ College Cambridge, before completing my medical training at St Thomas’ Hospital, London and orthopaedic training at St George’s Hospital.After an Orthopaedic Fellowship in Australia and the US, in 1997, I was appointed as a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer to St George’s Hospital, London. During my 14 years at St George’s, I undertook the roles of Surgical Tutor, Lead Clinician (knees) and was a member of the Research and Ethics Committee.My areas of expertise encompass non-operative, injection and surgical techniques. I am greatly experienced in keyhole arthroscope surgery and open procedures to help patients with knee pain. I have performed over 10,000 procedures in meniscus surgery, ligament reconstruction and joint replacement.I am a sports injury specialist, treating football, rugby, golf, tennis and athletic-related injuries. I have treated patients ranging from Olympic and professional sports stars to leading actors and singers.
