Dr Colette Griffin

"I enjoy being associated with St Anthony's Hospital as they really do put the patient first and foremost in everything they do."
Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
I am an experienced consultant neurologist with a specialist interest in traumatic brain injury (TBI). I have been a consultant neurologist at St George's University NHS Hospitals for 15 years. I have developed my TBI private practice over the last ten years.
My particular area of interest is within the field of mild traumatic brain injury. Non traumatic brain injury specialists refer to this as "concussion." My interest in sport is lifelong, and this has enabled me to work closely with patients to provide a bespoke care plan that suits their individual need. No two patients are the same, hence the need for bespoke care is paramount. Each sport also provides a different set of potential challenges, and this can often also vary greatly from country to country.
I was awarded my MD thesis by the University of London (2003) and I have published over 30 peer reviewed papers, 2 book chapters and over 50 abstracts.
I am regularly invited to lecture both nationally and internationally. I am frequently asked to review patients with a TBI for a second opinion, and my patient base is both national and international.
I am actively involved in education and training, and strategic development of services. I regularly teach sports players, sports clubs, schools, healthcare professionals, medical and post graduate students, in addition to other neurology consultants.
