I treat all aspects of adult and paediatric foot and ankle pathology including but not limited to the following: Forefoot problems including Hallux Valgus, Hallux rigidus, hammer toes etc. Minimally invasive surgery where appropriate. Heel pain - plantar fasciitis and Achilles teninopathy. Flat feet in adults and children Sports injuries – ankle arthroscopy and lateral ligament surgery. Arthritis of the foot and ankle. Complex lower limb trauma and general orthopaedic trauma.

Professional profile

I work as a specialist in children's orthopaedics and surgery of the foot and ankle in children and adults. I also have an interest in sports injuries and provide orthopaedic services for patients of all ages with foot and ankle problems. Children's orthopaedics covers hip, knee and lower leg problems especially and I specialist in limb length and deformity correction.

I have published papers on several topics including club foot surgery and various aspects of orthopaedic trauma and am actively involved in ongoing research and education. I am developing techniques to operate through minimal sized wounds to produce small cosmetically appealing scars, especially in children.

I am married with two children. I used to play representative rugby but now enjoy playing tennis and golf. I enjoy travel and in particular outdoor activity holidays, especially skiing, hiking and water sports.
