Professional profile

As an undergraduate Dr Alison Blake trained at Birmingham University qualifying with Honours in 1976. She then trained in general medicine at Selly Oak Hospital before specialising. Dr Blake was senior house officer in neurology at the National Hospital for neurology and neurosurgery, Queen Square, then trained in neurophysiology in Birmingham and Coventry.

I was appointed consultant neurophysiologist for Worcester and Hereford in 1986 and also run a department at Lea Castle Centre. I am a consultant at Birmingham Childrens' Hospital and the Barberry Centre (UK centre for mental health) Specialist Epilepsy and Sleep Disorder Service.
