Professional profile

Gemma is an experienced registered Speech and Language Therapist who qualified in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc Hons Speech and Language Therapy) in 2007 from the University of Manchester. Gemma has held Specialist Speecha nd Language Therapist posts in the NHS since 2009. Gemma contiues to work within the NHS and runs a clinic by appointment at the Spire Regency, Macclesfield. Gemma has a specialist interest in voice and voice disorders, along with degenerative conditions and stroke which impact on voice, speech, communication and swallowing. Gemma has completed further training which has included LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Training), Understanding and Managing Psychogenic Voice Disorders and CBT, Accent Method and Estill Voice Training. To attend for Voice Therapy a recent ENT examination and report is required (in line with The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Clinical Guidelines).
