Charity event for The Little Princess Trust and Macmillan Coffee Morning cause a hair raising event

15 October 2013

Brave Spire Portsmouth Hospital staff decided to chop off a total of 16 inches of hair in aid of The Little Princess trust.

Over £800 was raised in sponsorship to help children with cancer have real hair wigs made.

Sue Wilkinson, in the admissions department, and Sarah Amos, a private secretary, very kindly decided to donate eight inches of hair each to be made into children’s wigs while staff watched and bought cakes in aid of Macmillan’s Coffee Morning.

The morale support from those watching and the courage from our charitable donors will mean that the money raised can go towards turning the donated hair into wigs.
