Professional profile

I have huge experience in diagnosing and managing all forms of renal disease and kidney failure including dialysis and transplantation modalities. I have been a fulltime NHS Consultant in Portsmouth until August 2016., and now continue in private practice.

Hypertension is my major subspeciality interest and I ran a specialist service for the district. I was elected a Fellow of the British Hypertension Society and of the High Blood Pressure Council of the American Heart Association. I have also been providing acute Medicine cover on an ad hoc basis for dealing with medical emergencies.

My major research interest is in genetics of kidney disease.
