I have huge experience in diagnosing and managing all forms of renal disease and kidney failure including dialysis and transplantation modalities. I have been a fulltime NHS Consultant in Portsmouth until August 2016., and now continue in private practice.
Hypertension is my major subspeciality interest and I ran a specialist service for the district. I was elected a Fellow of the British Hypertension Society and of the High Blood Pressure Council of the American Heart Association. I have also been providing acute Medicine cover on an ad hoc basis for dealing with medical emergencies.
My major research interest is in genetics of kidney disease.

I retired as Consultant Nephrologist, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. Honorary Consultant Nephrologist, Southampton University Hospitals Trust. Senior Lecturer, University of Southampton in August 2016 and continue in private practice.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing and travelling.
