Having qualified from Coventry University in 2002, I quickly developed a keen interest in the respiratory field at Heartlands and Solihull Hospital. Working in respiratory outpatients for the last eight years, I have gained a vast knowledge in the physiotherapy treatment and management of several chronic respiratory conditions including; COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis and ILD. I have also been a member of the Physiotherapy for Hyperventilation society for several years now, which has enabled me to acquire the skills to treat hyperventilation and dysfunctional breathing within a number of settings.
I currently participate in a number of pulmonary rehabilitation programs which enables me to successfully improve exercise capacity, physical function and management of several respiratory conditions. In addition, attending a monthly bronchiectasis clinic gives me both a regular update in the current medical management of the condition and the ability to instruct on the use of a multitude of airway clearance devices to aid secretion clearance.

I am a big believer in fitness levels and regular exercise helping the management of chronic medical conditions, I like to practice what I preach. I go to the gym 4 - 5 times per week and having previously played tennis to a county standard I aim to play as often as the British weather will permit. I really enjoy watching live sporting events, no matter what the sport or the team, and attend at every available opportunity.
