I received my higher surgical training in ophthalmology at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. I then spent over two years sub-specialising in ophthalmic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, first at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and then at the Royal Perth Hospital, Perth Australia.
I deal with all aspects of ophthalmology and have a special interest in ophthalmic plastic (oculoplastics) and reconstructive surgery e.g. eyelid malpositions and tumours, orbital pathology, watery eyes, botulinum toxin for blepharospasm etc. I have specific expertise in dealing with periocular malignancy and am lead clinician ophthalmic cancer services at Coventry.
I also have an expertise in aesthetic surgery and offer cosmetic blepharoplasties (eyelids), brow lifts, injections for facial lines and fillers.
I am the author of numerous peer reviewed publications in international journals and regularly present at national and international meetings. My training programme in oculoplastics is approved by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for senior registrars choosing to sub specialise in ophthalmic plastic surgery.
