I qualified from Madras Medical College, India in 1986 and attained a Masters degree in general surgery from the Medical University of Madras in 1991. I have been an NHS consultant since 2001 after completing higher surgical training in London and Oxford training schemes between 1994 and 2001. I started working as a Consultant at Solihull and Heartlands Hospitals from 2003 and have been appointed as the Lead Clinician for Breast Surgery at Heart of England NHS Trust from 2009.
I offer a full range of surgical procedures for benign and malignant breast disorders. I routinely perform skin sparing mastectomies for patients requiring breast reconstruction, sentinel node biopsies as well as the newer intra operative analysis of sentinel nodes using OSNA technique. In addition to breast surgery. I also perform a wide range of general surgery including Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy for gallstones.

I am married to Viji, a community psychiatrist and have a daughter, Divya. I have a wide range of outside interests including computer assembly and repair, software, carpentry, cooking and cricket.
