Professional profile

Over the past twenty years as a consultant, I have developed extensive expertise in treating knee injuries and knee conditions. I have established a very busy Acute Knee Clinic at the QMC and I am very experienced in all aspects of knee surgery and I am an internationally recognised expert in Orthopaedic Trauma.

I am affiliated to the two professional football teams in Nottingham as well as Nottingham Rugby and Notts CCC. I regularly teach about knee surgery at The Royal College of surgeons, throughout the UK and abroad.

I qualified from Birmingham University Medical School in 1984 and did my surgical training in Birmingham before becoming a registrar and senior registrar in Orthopaedics in Nottingham.

I spent a year as a Fellow in North Carolina, USA before being appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham in 1996.
