Mr Asheesh Kaul

Consultant Urologist and Andrologist

MBBS, BSc, FRCS(Urol)

Specialises in

I am a consultant urologist with specialist interest in male sexual and reproductive health (andrology). At the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital I provide tertiary care in the East of England region for complex male genital disorders including penile cancer and associated skin diseases, erectile dysfunction and penile curvature (Peyronie's disease).

I also provide specialist investigations and treatments for male testicular problems including male infertility, varicocele, hydrocele, epididymal cyst, vasectomy reversal, chronic scrotal pain and low testosterone. General urology also forms a large part of my practice where I regularly see and treat men and women with lower urinary tract symptoms, blood in the urine and urinary tract infections (UTIs).

I perform all manner of penile skin surgery from circumcision to complex reconstruction with skin grafting. For men with erectile dysfunction, I take pride in being able diagnose and investigate possible underlying causes as well as taking men on their journey from PDE5 inhibitor (Viagra, Cialis) all the way through to penile implant surgery.

As the lead urologist in Norfolk with an interest in male infertility I am able to perform a comprehensive assessment of the infertile male and manage possible causes such as varicocele and ejaculatory duct obstruction. Currently I am one of the highest volume vasectomy surgeons in Norfolk, performing 400 - 500 vasectomies per year in primary care.

I am the current Andrology Clinical Lead for the Eastern Pathology Alliance, providing clinical expertise for the lab services, helping to improve the service for men requiring semen analysis testing across the whole of Norfolk.
