Mr Mahmoud Mostafa
Consultant Breast and General Radiologist
"With a supportive highly professional team, I enjoy every case management and procedure I perform in Spire. We deliver the highest standard of patient care with up to date, state-of-the-art equipment."
I have been trained in accordance with the Royal College of Radiologists' standard curriculum. I chose Breast Imaging and Intervention as my main subspeciaity with over 15 years experience in the Radiological Management of Breast Cancer and Diseases. I am experienced in breast imaging including mammograms, US and MRI. I work in close cooperation with the surgeons and oncologists in the management of breast cancer, breast abscess and benign breast lesions including breast implants. My goal is to provide a fast, accurate diagnostic service and, when applicable, pain free breast biopsy and intervention.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Mahmoud Mostafa at Spire include:
Ultrasound guided excision of benign breast nodules using vacuum assisted needle, VAE, (NICE Approved procedure).
Radiologist specialising in breast care and cancer care, breast lump investigation and breast lump removal.
Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.

I live with my wife, son and daughter. People of Wirral were an attractive factor for me to move here because of their awareness, kindness and friendly attitude. It did not take me long to convince my family to move here to Wirral, especially when I arranged a visit and fell in love with the beauty of the people and nature of Wirral. And for my wife it was Cheshire Oaks that was a strong contributing factor as well.
I have lived on the Wirral as a Consultant Breast and General Radiologist since August 2012. Everyday that passes proves that we are right in choosing Wirral as a perfect place to settle in.
I like reading, drama and swimming and during the weekends I like shopping and DIY.
