Professional profile

I graduated from Nottingham University in 1991 and trained in diabetes and endocrinology in Merseyside. I was a Clinical Lecturer in University Hospital Aintree from 1998 to 2000. I was awarded a DM (Doctor of Medicine) in 2001 from Nottingham University. In 2000, I was appointed consultant in diabetes and endocrinology at Whiston Hospital and in 2004, I moved to Wirral University Teaching Hospital and have been there since. My main clinical interests are in Diabetes and Endocrinology.

Diabetes and endocrinology conditions including thyroid, parathyroid, calcium metabolism, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pituitary and adrenal conditions, hypogonadism, hypo and hypercortisolism, hyperprolactinaemia, hyponatraemia, transgender hormone therapy, medical obesity management, hirsuitism
