"I enjoy working at Spire as the facilities are excellent and waiting times are minimal, if at all. We can normally arrange a treatment plan, on the day you are seen as a GP patient, in the timescales that suit."

I am a GP and have worked on the Wirral for 40yrs from 1977. I deal with all conditions that you would consult your usual family doctor about. I have a particular interest in the holistic approach that looks at all symptoms and signs, and trying to see if there is an underlying problem that causes all of the symptoms that is missed by other professionals. I am able to look at things in a whole and forensic was to drill down to the diagnosis.
I have been, over those 40 years, Medical Director of the Wirral health economy, GP Forum lead where GPs meet colleagues to try to iron out the problems in the system. I have been the GP and Practice Training Lead until my retirement from the NHS in 2017. I have probably organised many hundreds of educational events for GPs.
I am married with 4 children and grandchildren and completely understand the dynamics of family life and the concerns and worries that are brought on by illness.
I am an Appraiser of GP standards, that decides whether they are fit to have a positive appraisal and revalidation every 5 years, also to decide if they are FIT to practice medicine on the Wirral and I do approximately 15-20 appraisals a year.
I am a Tribunal Judge in the Court system that advises on DLA/PIP applications. I do not work for the DWP. My role is to assess the situation if the appellant appeals against a negative DWP decision. I am completely independent of the DWP.
I was the Senior Police Surgeon (Forensic Medical Examiner) for the Wirral for those 40 yrs. and involved in many professional issues, as well as developing the medical service for people in custody.

I am married and have four children and eight grandchildren. I am retired from full time work in the NHS and now choose to offer more time to individual patients to explain the nature of their illness, so they completely understand and can make rational decisions about their treatment plan. I am a holistic doctor and take into account all aspects of illness and family and social/work dynamics.
