On the 10th June, Spire Healthcare Group plc, which Spire Manchester Hospital is a part of, was named Hospital Group of the Year for the second year running at the 2015 Health Investor Awards.
This prestigious event, run by trade publication, HealthInvestor, is one of the main highlights in the health sector calendar and is always very well attended by many important bodies. The 2015 competition was fierce with award submissions up by 20% on last year, but despite this, Spire still pipped six other organisations to the top spot.
“2014 was a transformational year for Spire Healthcare and a landmark in the company’s history”, says Rob Roger, Chief Executive.
“As well as listing on the London Stock Exchange in one of the most successful IPOs of the year, 2014 saw Spire deliver a strong year in both trading and development, whilst progressing its mission to bring together the best people, dedicated to developing excellent clinical environments and delivering the highest quality patient care. I am very proud to be leading the people who make Spire so successful”.
“To win this award again, is a wonderful achievement for the group, and timed perfectly as our new Manchester hospital starts to take shape. It serves as reward to the team here at Manchester for the part they play in gaining such national recognition,” added Chris Chadwick, Hospital Director.
Journalist and news presenter, Jeremy Vine, presented the awards, which were judged by a panel of independent judges
