I completed my undergraduate training at the Middlesex and University College hospital medical schools in 1992, and worked as a general physician before embarking on my specialist endocrine training in the North West Thames area, mainly at St Mary’s Hospital and Imperial College London. I undertook a medical research degree in growth hormone and pituitary disease before starting my first consultant Job in 2002 at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
