I am a fully trained Consultant Dermatologist as well as a Senior Lecturer at The University of Manchester.
I am a full member of the British Association of Dermatologists, having completed my training at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital (North West Regional Dermatology Training Scheme) and am listed on the General Medical Council specialist medical register.
I was awarded a PhD degree from The University of Manchester and a MMedSci degree from The University of Liverpool and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London.
I have worked at the major Dermatology Centre in the North West, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT) as a consultant for 13 years. In my role as Senior Lecturer, I undertake clinical research which focuses on the brain-skin connection and the impact that skin conditions may have on people.
My major interests include the management of inflammatory skin disease, for example, psoriasis, eczema and acne. For more than a decade, I have been one of the consultants leading the world-renowned psoriasis service at SRFT.
