I have over 20 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. My primary qualification is from The University of the West Indies, Trinidad. My initial training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology was in Malaysia where I worked in a very busy unit and gained a lot of experience.
I have a wide range of experience in all aspects of gynaecology providing high quality care to women with general gynaecological conditions including menstrual disorders, contraception, menopause/HRT, pelvic pain and early pregnancy problems. I specialise in open and minimal access surgeries particularly, hysteroscopic fibroid removal procedures and laparoscopic surgery including ovarian cyst removal.
My career in the UK started in 2005 at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. I attained membership from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (RCOG) in 2006 and went on to be awarded the Fellowship of the RCOG in 2018.
I am the lead consultant for Early Pregnancy & Emergency Gynaecology as well as Ambulatory Gynaecology at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
