Professional profile

I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Spire Hartswood in Brentwood, Essex, and Spire London East Hospital in Redbridge, Essex, offering private orthopaedic surgery in these clean and comfortable private hospitals.

I obtained my medical degree from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, and trained to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon on the Oxford training programme.

During this time, I found the treatment of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions particularly rewarding, and was inspired to become an upper limb surgeon. I was privileged to perform complex open and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of these joints during my Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire, the internationally famous Centre of Excellence for Upper Limb Surgery.

I was awarded the prestigious British Elbow and Shoulder Society Travelling Fellowship, and have also been awarded the European Diploma of Hand Surgery. In 2013 I was nominated for a BHR Pride award (Queens Hospital) for Outstanding Patient Care.

Personal Profile

I have a strong interest in teaching and training, and have designed and led many orthopaedic surgical courses. I thoroughly enjoy my work as a Faculty lecturer teaching fellow orthopaedic surgeons, junior doctors, physiotherapists, nurses and plaster technicians. I have a great love of music and play guitar, piano and drums - whenever my family and neighbours permit me!
