As a specialist in pain medicine and anaesthesia, I lead a multidisciplinary team at Barts Health NHS Trust providing all aspects of pain management including chronic pain, complex post-operative pain and pain associated with cancer and cancer treatment. After completion of medical training at the University of Cambridge, I have over 10 years of experience in pain management and anaesthesia at internationally renowned centers including Imperial College Hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I am currently a clinical supervisor training the next generation of pain medicine specialists in London.
I specialise in treatment of the following conditions: Complex spinal pain including persistent pain after spinal surgery, knee/hip/shoulder pain when joint replacement surgery is not suitable or persistent post-surgical pain, Neuropathic pain as a result of nerve damage, trauma, previous surgery or metabolic disorder such as diabetes, Cancer pain and pain associated with cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, Headache not responsive to first line treatment, pelvic pain conditions, chronic abdominal pain and Widespread pain condition including fibromyalgia.
I use a holistic and individualised approach for pain management using a combination of physical, psychological, medication and minimally invasive treatments. I perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including nerve block, epidural injection, ultrasound guided joint injection, Botox injection, Neuromodulation and regenerative treatment such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection.
