Liverpool One Penny Lane eye centre opened by Lord Mayor

18 December 2014

One Penny Lane Liverpool Spire Hospital

The new clinic which has recently been renovated by Spire Liverpool Hospital now stands as a state of the art medical facility, still with all the quirks and uniqueness the listed sandstone building has to offer.

Building contractors Lindrick Construction have spent the last six months refurbishing the iconic Victorian sandstone building, every aspect of which has been sympathetic to the building’s surrounding as it is right at the heart of a Conservation Village area.

In addition to The Liverpool Eye Centre the clinic also offers dermatology, cosmetic and private GP services with TV doctor Dr Arun Ghosh. The Hewitt Fertility Centre will now also offer consultations at Spire One Penny Lane with world renowned fertility specialist Charles Kingsland.

Every aspect and detail of the clinic has been thought of to give patients the personalised experience in the privacy and comfort of the plush surroundings.

Alison Peake, Hospital Director at Spire Liverpool Hospital said: “The new facility has been refurbished to the highest standards and give us the space to expand the hospital and the services we offer. The Liverpool Eye Centre in particular is a major new facility for the city as it is the first of its kind in Liverpool.”
