Professional profile

I am a dedicated Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with a full time NHS contract with the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. I trained in St Andrews, Manchester and Liverpool and attained a higher degree for my research into lower limb bypass surgery.

I have a busy NHS practice including treatment of aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, lower limb artery disease and varicose veins. I perform both open and keyhole surgery for all of these vascular conditions and regularly train other surgeons in these techniques.

I have supervised two MD theses in flow dynamics after carotid surgery and complex EVAR. I am currently supervising an MD theses and PhD theses on the novel aneurysm ceiling technique. I am one of the founders of the Liverpool Aortic Research Collaboration (LARC) and I'm contributing to numerous research project within this. I was recently appointed Honorary Visiting Professor with Liverpool University in recognition of this research.
