Professional profile

I'm a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

The main problems I deal with are, torn cartilages, dislocating knee caps, torn anterior cruciate ligaments, torn posterior cruciate ligaments, reconstruction of dislocated knees and complex ligament injuries and osteochondritis dessicans.

My Spire Liverpool practice is for the management of adults, children and adolescents with surgical problems of the knee often the result of sports injuries. The aim is to repair damage and return the patient to sport.

Personal Profile

I have lived in Liverpool since 1983. I was at medical school here and was one of the first two resident medical officers at Spire Liverpool Hospital (Lourdes in those days). My interests are on and off road cycling and motor cycling. In 2010 I took part in the Enduro Africa ride 1200km off-road along the Wild Coast of South Africa, on a motorcycle, in aid of Touch Africa, Nelson Mandelas Childrens fund, UNICEF and Sentebale. Survived but battered and bruised. Other interests are travel, photography, camping and bushcraft.
