We welcome your views on our website and invite you to take part in a brief survey when you've finished your visit.
Your response will help us improve the site and the experience we offer to visitors.
Our breast clinic offers fast access to breast experts, diagnostics and treatment of breast lumps.
Our one-stop triple assessment clinic is designed to help women through the process of breast examination, investigations and results - all on the same day. For peace of mind our clinics are available Tuesday's, Thursday's and Friday's.
Our multi-disciplinary team of breast surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, histopathologists and specialist nurses work together to provide your initial consultation, examination and results within 72 hours or the same day. This ensures that your concerns are dealt with rapidly without having to endure an anxious and prolonged wait for results.
Once you’ve been referred we can arrange an appointment for you within 72 hours. Your appointment will be with an experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon who is recognised as a breast specialist within the NHS. The Consultant will be supported by an experienced nurse specialist in breast care and a team of radiologists. This multidisciplinary team will provide the ultimate care for you, in our spotlessly clean and comfortable private hospital.
At the initial assessment, your consultant will discuss your concerns and take a full medical history.
Before any diagnostic tests are completed, your consultant will carry out a breast examination so that a decision can be made on which investigations should be undertaken to suit your individual needs.
We’ll then perform diagnostic investigations such as a mammogram, ultrasound scan and biopsy. The team aim to carry out all the investigations needed at your first appointment using state-of-the-art equipment that can help detect breast abnormalities.
Each situation is different depending on each individual case.
Due to the level of care and the number of tests involved, as a guide we advise patients to allow up to 2-3 hours for a full assessment.
Spire Little Aston is recognised by all major insurance companies and is a Bupa accredited breast care centre.
If you are not insured and wish to self fund your treatment we offer a breast care package which costs £650, then, if you require additional tests including fine needle aspiration or a biopsy, additional costs are incurred, however your consultant will discuss this with you in full at your consultant.
A referral letter is not required for the Breast Care Clinic, however, it would be beneficial if you can retrieve one.
Referrals can be made by your GP or any other medical practitioner.
